It uses highly pressurised liquid nitrous oxide to destroy un wanted lesions. The CryoPen treatment is relatively pain-free, with results seen in as little as two sessions.
Since the NHS decided to remove the treatment of benign skin lesions from GP surgeries in the UK there is now a demand to receive these treatments privately. Radiant Skin Clinic offers the removal of unwanted benign skin lesions.
Benign means non-cancerous/non-harmful or non-malignant. If you are worried about a skin lesion please check with your GP first,

At your initial CryoPen consultation, our skincare expert will examine any areas you wish to treat. From this, we can put together a bespoke plan and decide whether this is the most efficient course of treatment.
Depending on the size of the area you wish to treat, we may recommend CryoPen cryotherapy once, followed by an extra visit 2-4 weeks after to confirm that all pathological tissue has disappeared. In some cases, further treatment may be needed.

The CryoPen emits a pressurised, super fine jet of nitrous oxide from its tip, which allows our clinician to work with precision that is millimeter perfect. The applicator is held as close as possible to the skin imperfection and moved quickly toward and away from it. This could be from 1-30 seconds, depending on the size and depth. After the first freeze cycle, the tissue can thaw for about 30 seconds. Now the second freeze cycle will begin. The tissue will freeze faster during the first freezing cycle. The pain sensation is similar to a ballpoint pen being pushed onto the skin when the nitrous oxide reaches the bottom of the lesion. There might be a little residual stinging for a few minutes after treatment. Occasionally a blister might form and persist for a few hours.
The cost of treatment will depend on the type of imperfection and the size of the area. Individual costs will be discussed face to face during consultation. Prices starting from £60
